Crunchy Worms

Jakub and Milan, the founders of Crunchy Worm, have been working with insects since 2014, when they first started toying with the idea of using this unconventional raw material as part of an exotic food presentation in their travel restaurant, Klub cestovatelů in Brno. Their Insect Nights won great admiration and interest from the wider environment and so the founders decided to give the whole project a solid face and founded the Insect Kitchen project.

Together, they honed their recipes to perfection through their annual participation in Extreme Food Festivals and close cooperation with Mendel University. They also published the first insect cookbook "Insects on a Plate" where, in addition to recipes with insects, they summarize information from leading Czech scientists dealing with entomophagy. All of this led to the founding of Crunchy Worm in 2022 and its rapid entry into the Czech market, where they are winning the admiration of the general public with their crunchy worms.
